As someone a little skeptical about how horrible it would be to use cloth diapers..I would have to say that when I tried them for my first bundle of joy (and headaches and sleepless nights) I was pleasantly surprised.

We got ours from littlefancypants.com which is a little business run by a young couple who lived in Pennsylvania (she made the diapers and he did the website from what I have been told). The diapers are great quality, and while I still do use liners (I know it's horrible...) my wife does not. Using liners is still MUCH cheaper that buying completely disposable diapers too. The ones I got were like 8.00 for 100 at Toys R Us, and I'm sure if they weren't an impulse buy...I could have found them cheaper online.

Odd. My used Merkur Super blades slide into an inobstrusive slot on the back of the box marked "Used blades" in white on white letters. If yours doesn't, before you throw it away, you could put the old blade in the paper wrapper that you just took off the new blade.

a commercial for whirly pop? i didn't think so. go on eBay and buy a old felknor's "theater" popper if you don't like whirley pop. look for the old ones with a tapered pan (narrower at the bottom). the felknor's is better IMHO anyway. felknor's has metal gears & heavier stirrer. they are not made anymore - i think whirley pop (wabash valley) bought them out or some thing. anyway, the pans with a stirrer & vents most definitely work better than a normal pan. thanks for the great article & comments.

I have Flavacol and I can't replicate the taste of movie theater popcorn. I hate when people get this product and claim it tastes just like theaters. It does not. I'm anal about capturing the exact taste. So far the only thing that nails that theater taste are pre-measured packets from Great Northern. http://www.amazon.com/Great-Northern-Popcorn-2-5-Ounce-Portion/dp/B002YJ0118/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I think what is missing is the butter. That's what makes the taste and I still haven't found what type of butter.

Flavacol and Season-it(same thing, different brand) can be found at Ace hardware, and I'm guessing some other hardware stores, because those places sell popcorn poppers. Just in case someone doesn't have a bulk food store around.

I've actually been a test subject for pharmaceuticals. The first time, I had to drop out of the study after only a week of taking the medication and I still made about $1400 for a month of my time. The second time, I had to drop out after the first visit and still pocketed $50.

This is a gift my father gave to my brother and I recently saw a shave kit at the mall going for 250.00. Not such a frugal investment if you rely on the mall as a source to live frugally.

What a great article. With the supermarket bread containing so many preservatives, this is certainly the way to go.

I live in a small community in west Michigan and have not seen any bulk food stores and for a very long time I keep going back to the idea of opening my own store, The only one who sells dry goods is the Amish in our area. do you know anyone that could give me advice?
